OBD Installation Tutorial

Step-by-step guide to install the OBD device in your vehicle.

Find OBD Interfaces

You can usually find the interface below the dashboard on the driver's side, above the pedals. The following 6 are the most common locations:

Tip

The OBD interface is a 16-pin female connector with a trapezoidal shape. Some vehicles have a protective cover over it. For more details, see FAQs - OBD Interface & Connection.

Insert the Device

Insert the OBD device into the vehicle OBD interface until it clicks firmly into place.

Start the Vehicle

Turn on the vehicle ignition or start the engine. The OBD device will power on automatically.
